The Unique Flavour of Craft Beer “Funny Eye Brewery” Achieved by Innovative Technology
2048 will be the 49th year since the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Due to this reason, “2048 (Macao) Limited” took 2048 as its company name to express its vision for the future, and the craft beer brand “Funny Eye Brewery” was created to reflect the ideas of the younger generation.

According to, the Marketing Director of 2048 (Macau) Co. Ltd. Kwok Tsz Ching the “eye” in the brand “Funny Eye Brewery” refers to searching for inspiration with their own eyes, in the hope of creating a series of beer products with unique flavours within their own brand.

Experience the Beauty of Tea Beer with Innovative Craftsmanship
2048 has successfully infused unique flavours into their beers by adopting innovative technology (the separation of small molecules), that is, the aroma of the raw materials can be kept after a high temperature treatment. Afterwards, the aroma will be integrated into the flavour of the beer in the second brewing.

Macao is a city of mixed Chinese and Western cultures, which has inspired the brand to combine “tea” and “beer” together, i.e., two traditional Chinese and Western cultural elements. Luckily, this unique series of tea beers have been the star products of the brand.
In order to expand the flavours of their craft beers, the company has developed more than 50 beer flavours since 2018, including “Macao Puree” simple flavour, and the innovative and unique “fruit + tea” flavours, such as lychee black tea r, passion fruit green tea, osmanthus, coriander, coffee and other flavours.
Let the World Know the Taste of Macao
The most significant feature of the company’s craft beer is its flavour localisation. To this end, 2048 has used IPIM’s One-Stop Service for Investors to set up its own factory locally to create a real Macao taste in Macao SAR.
In order to help Macao enterprises expand their markets, IPIM organised a group of entrepreneurs from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to visit local factories for exchanges. The company 2048 was one of the local factories visited. During the visit, possible co-operation was discussed between mainland enterprises and the company, with the aim of introducing the “Funny Eye Brewery” beers to the Greater Bay Area.
