At present, Macao Ideas has gathered nearly 1300 commodities from over 100 Macao enterprises, including clothes, wedding dresses, evening dress, shoes, handbags, wallets, jewelry, food, coffee, tea, wine and liquor, health care products, drugs, furniture, industrial supplies, scientific and technological information products, electronic bicycles, cultural and creative design products and handicraft products.
TYPES OF PRODUCTS THAT ON DISPLAY:
1. “Made in Macao” products
This type of products should especially focus on the fact that they are made in Macao, essentially to promote the quality, production capacity and technological know-how of the local producer or factory, so as to capture the buying desire of the individual and/or professional buyers. It is suggested that enterprises applying for display of their “Made in Macao” products submit their products along with information that focus on the promotion of name of the factory, its history and scale. “Made in Macao” products will be on display in a special area known as “M in M” or in other exhibition areas with Macao characteristics.
2. “Macao Brands”
Macao Brands” shall mean goods made in or outside Macao by local enterprises. The related products should compulsorily consist of brands registered by Macao enterprises (i.e., companies with sales outlets or administrative offices in Macao, engaged in trading). Evidences of respective trade-mark registration should be produced. Furthermore, sale of these “Macao Brand” products should provide employment opportunities to Macao residents or increase the income derived from trade finance, logistic business or taxes for Macao, and should not merely be production projects set-up by Macao residents abroad. Enterprises displaying “Macao Brand” products are recommended to concentrate on the promotion of the brand of the series of products involved, as well as the market positioning and the image of the brand that it intends to promote. In addition, certain well-known series of products may also be considered as “Macao Brand” products.
3.Designed in Macao
Both actual products and model of products designed in Macao will be accepted. The applicant can either be an enterprise or an individual designer, provided that it is a Macao resident. The main purpose is to show the designer´s creativity and ability to attract buyers to purchase their products in large quantity, or to utilize their patent through various forms of cooperation, namely franchising or licensing, for subsequent manufacturing purpose.
