This wooden puzzle music box is based on the Guia Lighthouse, located at the summit of Guia Hill in Macao. Built in 1864, this lighthouse was designed by the Macanese architect Carlos Vicente de Rocha. It is the first modern lighthouse on the Chinese coast and serves as a geographical landmark for Macao. In 1992, it was selected as one of the 'Eight Scenic Spots of Macao'. Next to the lighthouse is a 17th-century Portuguese chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows. The piece features cloud patterns from the chapel's interior murals, along with a Christmas tree symbolising the blend of Eastern and Western cultures. The adorable lion motif from the chapel's murals is included, as well as elements from Macao's intangible cultural heritage, the Feast of the Drunken Dragon. The second layer spins according to the music, and the artwork incorporates double-headed eagles and shell motifs from the chapel's murals. The first layer features patterns derived from the chapel's dome, while the base is adorned with floral designs from the chapel's interior murals.
