Macao Chun Kei Food Factory initially started as “Chun Kei Noodles Home”, which was founded in the early 1990s. When the current head, Man Kai Weng, took over the business, he transformed the production of the factory from a family-run business to that of an actual company.

In addition to the installation of additional facilities and equipment, changes in the mode of operation, the establishment of a self-managed logistics team, the factory has expanded the sales channels beyond the original efforts of supplying food to cafes and restaurants, into fields such as supplying food to hotels and supermarkets, as well as fulfilling of export orders. It also provides customers with one-stop services covering research and development, production and sales.

Entering the Markets of Greater Bay Area and Participating in Exhibitions to Attract Customers

Chun Kei Food Factory has been actively seeking market expansion both at home and abroad, and its products have been sold to the mainland through the Mainland and Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA). Currently, the Factory has set up pilot projects in Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai, engaging in product research and development as well as market research, to assess the demands of different markets. It also plans to open up the market of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area step by step and then strive for coverage in other cities as well.

Through its presence in the “Macao Ideas” and its participation in business matching activities at the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), Chun Kei Food Factory has established contacts with potential customers and obtained bulk orders for OEM food products. In the future, it hopes to expand into more diversified markets through the services of Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).
