Rua da Felicidade is a famous old street in Macao. The buildings lining both sides of the street are currently the most well-preserved brothel building complex in China. Over time, the street has become “a food street” with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops.
The design was inspired by a local small businessman walking through Rua da Felicidade. The traditional Chinese clothing symbolises the Chinese-style buildings with blue-grey bricks and red tiled roofs, reflecting the prosperity and unique styles of Macao.
