“ella épeler” is a Macao fashion brand founded by the local fashion designer Ella Lei, and features fashion products that integrate self-created illustrations and art.

Inspired by Ella’s name and the French word “épeler” meaning “to spell” or “to put together”, the brand name “ella épeler” symbolises Ella’s ingenious combination of illustrations and fashion to create unique fashion products.

Diversified Styles and Customised Services

The products of ella épeler are sold through physical stores, local consignment stores and online outlets. Its apparel collections are distinguished by different illustration designs, including different types of clothes including T-shirts, windbreakers and jackets, as well as cushions, hats, headwear, and other accessories. Customised services are also available.

Ella believes that customers’ expectation of her new products gives her both encouragement and responsibility . In addition to releasing new products from time to time, the brand also allows customers to select their favourite patterns and then “épeler” such patterns into the desired products.

Participating Actively in Exhibitions for Market Expansion

ella épeler has participated in a number of local and international fashion shows, and has been actively involved in the exhibitions and business matching sessions organised by Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), such as displaying her products at the booth of “Macao Ideas” at the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF).

Ella affirmed the effectiveness of participating in the exhibitions: “These channels have increased publicity and exposure of the brand, and have brought us into contact with more factories and collaborators, resulting in better quality products and increased sales. It is good for the development of the brands of local independent designers!”

Looking ahead, ella épeler aims to promote online sales and focus on the market of the Greater Bay Area (GBA). In recent years, it has actively participated in exhibitions held in different cities, such as the Shenzhen Fashion Week and the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, in order to expand its customer base and build up business connections with more factories.
