Bucket King’s Global Adventure
Case Station Advertising & Planning Co. Ltd. (Case Station) is a local IP creation company in Macao, founded by Wong Kei Seak in 2013. Wong Kei Seak had worked for many years at a large design company in Shanghai and has a keen understanding of the business opportunities of IP authorisation. In 2015, he created “Bucket King”, a cartoon character modelled on a bucket. In 2018, Case Station and another local interior design company collaborated to participate in a bidding process, obtaining a licensing agreement of Hilton Sanya Yalong Bay Resort, Hainan Island. They were tasked with constructing a “Bucket King”-themed family restaurant including entertainment facilities. The project was officially opened in November 2019.

Creating IP to fulfil childhood dream, tailoring products for target customers
“Bucket King” is a heroic character depicted as wearing a bucket as a helmet and holding a broom. The bucket features red and blue eyes symbolising a diverse perspective. This creation was inspired by Wong Kei Seak’s childhood memories. To give “Bucket King” a more vibrant presence, Case Station created adventure picture books and animations specifically targeting the children’s market; collaborated with a local professional music studio to produce a lively theme song and invited a local singer to sing it; and organised the Bucket King Children’s Balance Vehicle Cup 2023 to promote the character. Furthermore, Case Station produced high-precision handcrafted models to cater to the adult market, aiming to enhance profitability through high-value collectible products.

Appearance-shifting Bucket King venturing out into the world through brand crossovers
Case Station not only has its own range of products such as water bottles, ornaments and fridge magnets, but also actively engages in co-branding campaigns. The various appearance designs of “Bucket King” allow the character to serve as an ambassador for a “Beer Festival”, transform into a warrior souvenir for film festivals, and contribute to the festive atmosphere of the “Iluminar Macao · Light Up Macao” event. The “Bucket Kingdom” also teamed up with China Post to release cartoon postcards. This set of 10 postcards tells fun stories about 10 different animals. In 2021, a co-branded pillar box was set up within the Hilton Resort in Sanya, Hainan Island.
