Founded in 1948, Leong Wai Kei has been a renowned food factory in Macao for 75 years, passing through three generations. Initially, they started the business by selling live fish and fish meat. In the 1960s, the business was relocated to the St. Domingos Market (Complexo Municipal Do Mercado de S. Domingos) where it specialized in selling mud carp meat and homemade meatballs. In 2015, the business was taken over by the third-generation heir. Subsequently, in 2017, the factory underwent renovations, significantly enhancing and modernizing the production process, along with the introduction of new production lines. Leong Wai Kei’s array of products, ranging from cuttlefish paste, fresh shrimp paste, stuffed crab claws, to meatballs, dumplings, and fried delicacies, have been long supplied to numerous hotels, restaurants, hot pot restaurants, and social service organizations in Macao. Their products have garnered high acclaim within the industry. In 2024, both the cuttlefish paste and the fresh shrimp paste from Leong Wai Kei obtained the “M-Mark” Macao Product Quality Certification. These products are currently available in their self-operated stores.
