Ellis Essential Oils: New Trend of Healing with Love
Owing to the long battle against the COVID-19 epidemic, many citizens are physically and mentally exhausted and need to relax and to unload their burdens. Some people will release their tension through sport, while others may adjust the rhythm of their life using essential oils and aromatherapy to relieve their anxiety. Ellis Trading Co. Ltd. is engaged in making natural essential oils and relevant products for aromatherapy. It was founded the local brand Bodyskin in 2012, whose concept is “Green represents nature. Aromatherapy, science and art in one
Being an aromatherapist is not a common profession in Macao but Elise Ng Leng Man, the proprietor of Ellis Trading Co. Ltd. and founder of the brand Bodyskin, is a certified aromatherapist. Elise Ng said her family has been engaged in the trade of raw natural plant materials for many years. Being involved in this industry for a long time and through continuous education and accumulated expertise, she became an aromatherapist. She believes that aromatherapy is not only about professional knowledge, but also an art with healing effects. Therefore, Bodyskin has been organising public events with associations since 2015, using the power of aromatherapy to help children with autism relax their bodies and stabilise their emotions.
Moreover, Elise. Ng makes good use of the internet. Through online and offline teaching classes, she has demonstrated how to blend essential oils and develop personal essential oil formulas, promoting the scientific concept of aromatherapy from multiple perspectives. In the future, she hopes to bring a better aromatherapy experience to the public with her professional knowledge and pursuit of the highest quality.

Upgrading the image of large events with essential oils
Before opening the first shop in Macao, Ellis Trading Co. Ltd. was focused on the trade of ingredients for plant-based essential oils. Therefore, Elise Ng has a rich experience and knowledge in the collection of natural raw materials and ingredient blending. In 2012, Ellis Trading Co. Ltd. started to expand its retail sales to the Mainland China, Macao and Hong Kong markets under the brand “Bodyskin”. Since the raw materials are all high-quality natural plant-based essential oils collected from all over the world free from chemical ingredients and preservatives, Bodyskin soon stood out in the industry.
In particular, Elise Ng pointed out that at the Van Gogh Exhibition held in Shenzhen in 2019, Bodyskin co-operated with the organiser to provide scent diffusers for the event for the first time. This collaboration added olfactory enjoyment and a wonderful atmosphere in addition to the visual experience of the exhibition, leaving a people with a deep impression of the brand. In the future, she hopes to co-operate with large hotels or nursing homes, using the power of essential oils to create a comfortable and relaxing indoor space.
In order to expand sales channels, Bodyskin not only sells its products in shops, but also online. Currently, the products are found on e-commerce platforms in Macao and the Mainland. The brand also takes an active part in MICE events and business matching events with the support of Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), as well as displaying products in “Macao Ideas”, to actively strengthen brand promotion through various channels.
