Innovation in Classics


Born in a family engaged in the garment industry, Lao developed a strong interest in fashion while still a child. In 2016, he founded his own brand “CLÁSSICO MODERNO”. The brand concept draws inspiration from classics and integrates innovation into the design of each garment. In the beginning, he started with men’s clothing, while a women’s clothing series was added in 2020, enabling the brand to gradually evolve into a symbol of fashion innovation.

The Uniqueness of Tailor-made Fashion


Dressing similarly to others in the workplace is awkward for office workers. To allay this anxiety, CLÁSSICO MODERNO provides a unique customisation model. All fashion products are tailor-made to ensure that each customer’s clothing is unique. To achieve the customisation, the brand has made full use of its long valuable experience in management.

Another business category of CLÁSSICO MODERNO is to design costumes for Hong Kong and Macao actors and performers participating in professional modelling or video recording. In 2018, the brand won the Merit Award for the Most Valuable Brand at the “Business Awards of Macau”. While in 2019, the brand was nominated for the Golden Lei Award Design at the Silk Road International Fashion Week.

Exploring New Business Opportunities in the Mainland

 

Since Macao has a relatively small market, CLÁSSICO MODERNO plans to set up a branch in the mainland by using IPIM’s Facilitation Services for Commercial Registration in Nine Cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, in order to achieve greater development. This bold move will be conducive to exploring the new market and laying a solid foundation for the brand’s future expansion.
