"Macao Franchise Expo 2020" (MFE) will be held at The Venetian Macao from 22 to 24 October. In order to further interest the general public in franchise business and to enable more companies to learn how to improve their brand’s competitiveness through online training, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will work with the Macau Chain Stores and Franchise Association the Macao International Brand Enterprise Commercial Association and the Macao Youth Entrepreneur Incubation Centre to launch four "Macao Franchise Expo 2020 Online Training Seminars". This online training seminars will be held on 28 July, 11 August, 25 August and 8 September (Tuesdays), from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm via Zoom and Facebook page. The platforms are available on smart phones, tablets and desktop computers. Each online training seminar has its own theme focusing on different market strategies and changes. Persons in charge of operating franchise stores in Macao, local old stores or representatives of well-known brands will be invited to the seminars and share experience and business tips. Branding consultants will be teaching brand upgrade secrets. Participants will be able to learn online how to upgrade their own brands or change business models, and use innovative ways of thinking to respond to the latest economic trends. SMEs, industry representatives and interested parties are welcomed to actively participate.

As an annual international brand event in Macao, MFE was certified by the International Exhibition Industry Association (UFI) in November 2018, becoming the first franchise exhibition in Greater China to receive this honor. For the first time, 2020MFE will be held together with the "25th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair" (25th MIF) and the "2020 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao)" (2020PLPEX).
